How to Prepare for a Closet Installation
After the plans for your new custom closet are final and the installation appointment is on the calendar, it’s time to get your space ready for the installers to come and build your custom-made closet.
To ensure that the closet installation process goes as smoothly as possible, please follow the guidelines below before our closet installation technicians arrive at your home.
1. Remove all personal items
Before we can begin installing your closet, the area needs to be clear of all personal items so that our team can efficiently build in your new storage organiser. Many clients find that this is a good time to do a good closet purge and if you have any items for donation, particularly women’s clothing, check with your design consultant to see if your local California Closets participates in a local partnership with Dress for Success® or other local charity organisations. 2. Clear the work area
For safety reasons, we request that you keep children and pets out of the work area during the installation.
3. Designate an entrance close to the driveway
Please allow our professional installation technicians to enter your home through the entrance that is nearest the driveway so they can easily unload their materials and tools. Before they arrive, clear out any entranceway furniture or items that may make it harder to get in and out of your home.
After your closet has been installed, the technician will demonstrate the features of your new California Closet, if you’re available. They will also review any key warranty and care information with you.
Soon after your installation, you will be contacted by an outside survey company to request candid feedback about your overall California Closets experience. Your comments are valuable to us so that we can continue to provide the best possible storage solutions and services to you and our future customers.
