Lisa Pennington, a real estate broker and mother of two, was struggling to make the small master closet she and her husband shared, work when he had an idea: Why not convert the adjoining spare bedroom into a custom closet for Lisa? The timing couldn’t have been better and Lisa knew exactly what she wanted.
With three active boys, Lisa envisioned a space that was just as organized as it was luxurious a two-toned “girly oasis” in pink and gold that she could call her own.
I like to do things right, and just once. Other friends had [worked with] California Closets, so I was familiar with the company, and I knew [my closet] was going to be top-notch.
Lisa looked to California Closets Seattle design consultant Nicole Garvey to help refine her vision—and bring it to life.
Together, the pair worked to outfit the room with storage features both smart and stylish, like a display case for Lisa’s handbags, a window seat with custom cushions to contain her shoes, and a full-length mirror that houses her perfume collection.

Before, it was just all of my stuff thrown on a bed. Now, you open a pair of French doors, and you just see this masterpiece. It’s so over the top, but it’s absolutely perfect.
