Between raising two young boys, building a new home, and running a small business, Jodie Parr and her husband were beyond busy—and they still had a master closet to tackle.
Jodie knew she wanted a space that was orderly, efficient, and paired well with the home’s contemporary yet rustic aesthetic. What she didn’t know was how to achieve that goal.
We had a clean canvas, but designing a closet is so much more difficult than you’d think. So, we called California Closets, and it was the best decision we’ve ever made.
Jodie called on California Closets Denver design consultant Cressa Gamache to help transform her blank canvas into a high-functioning closet—one that maximized space and made daily homekeeping that much easier.
Together, Cressa and Jodie evaluated the existing closet and discussed different options. From colors to textures, the couple also considered pet peeves, like the sound of slamming drawers.
Jodie ParrWhen I first saw my closet, I cried. It told me, ‘This is home.’ We’ve never had a closet like this before, so to have it now—it was touching. It makes a huge difference.
Cressa made it really easy for me to make these important decisions—decisions that were going to become a part of our home.
Even Jodie was surprised to discover how well Cressa had translated her needs into an extra-efficient closet with plenty of his-and-hers storage, “soft” drawers for quiet mornings, a stowaway ironing board, and even a washer and dryer!
Not only does Jodie’s transformed closet offer more time to tackle a sometimes daunting to-do list, it’s also given her a chance to reconnect with her clothes.
I love my clothes. I can display all of my shoes, my boots. This closet is just really fun to look at, and it makes getting ready in the morning more fun, too.
